John Cornish is a worship pastor, composer, and educator based in Fort Worth, Texas. He serves as Pastor of Worship & Administration at Alliance Methodist Church, where he shapes a music and worship program rooted in the full breadth of Christian song — from ancient hymns to modern worship. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Church Music from Southwestern Seminary, with a concentration in conducting.

As a composer, he writes sacred choral music for the worshiping church — original anthems and hymn arrangements that serve the texts they carry. His choral works are published by Augsburg Fortress, Hinshaw Music, Hal Leonard / Brookfield Press, Fred Bock Publishing, and Pavane, and are performed by congregations and choirs around the world.

His work as an educator spans more than a decade of teaching in higher education, including five years as Assistant Professor of Music at College of the Ozarks. His current research considers the practical and ethical use of artificial intelligence in worship planning.
